Dear Valued Unique Customer,

The below e-mail is some air market information from our Hong Kong office.  We have already seen a steep spike in air freight request from Northern China (i.e. Shanghai) over the past few weeks due to heavy volumes of computers and electronic goods.  With ocean volumes also spiking in recent weeks from Southern China region, there is anticipation that the air market will also pick-up during the peak season.  If you have any large air orders, please contact our sales team with the following details:  anticipated ship date, total # of shipping cartons, weight of shipping carton and dimensions of shipping carton.  In this way, Unique Logistics will be better able to plan for large air shipments for mix consolidations and reserving the necessary space.

Thank you for your support of Unique Logistics International.  We appreciate and value your business.

Dear All,

As you know well that August and the months that follow are the traditional peak season for Trans-Pacific air freight from Asia origins despite of the air freight market has been soft due to global economy downturns in the past months. It's time for us to prepare ourselves for the sudden surge of the demands of air freight at any time due most of the inventory level in N. America has already been very low, we should anticipate for the likelihood of increasing ocean freight to be switched via air, although these orders could be smaller in size but very urgent with arrival deadline as the importers has to catch the short selling window.

The above are good and positive signs and hopefully we will be getting out of the tunnel soon, however, we also anticipate that airlines will increase rate with very short notice given once the market picks up even for a few days or even a few times in a week as per our reliable sources from our supporting airlines. It is because airlines have been suffering heavy losses in the past months who would seize every opportunity to jerk up their revenue whenever they could regardless whether the market could sustain a continuous boom or not. Another reason for airlines to increase their rates is there are virtually reduction in airline's capacities this year from the scheduled airlines and there will be lack of charter commitment this year. So when the demands for air freight pick up slightly, there will be foreseeable short supplies of air space and airlines would take advantages of this situation by then. If the space situation worsen, we will do our best to call for ad hoc charter a week before or latest by 72 hours notice subject to the availability of aircraft in order to relieve the space problem.

Pls confirm ack and comment, thank your for your continuous supports.

Thanks and regards
