Subject: FW: China Snow Situation Update
Dear Valued Unique Customer,
Please see the below e-mail from our Hong Kong office with
regard to the winter storm in China. Our office has highlighted the
impact for each main Southern China Port. Due to cancelling of flights,
closing highways, and train delays, there will be delays and back-log of
freight for air and ocean cargo. The ports have already been congested
due to push by vendors to ship prior to CNY which will start next week.
ULI-ATL will work closely with our overseas partners on the movements of cargo
from affected areas. Our operations team will advise our customers of any
significant delays. If any questions about your specific shipments,
please do not hesitate to contact your Unique Customer Service Representative
(CSR).
Thank you for your support of Unique Logistics
International. We appreciate and value your business!
Best
Regards

Subject: China Snow Situation Update
Dear
all,
Would
like to update you the S. China situation as follow:
Shenzhen
-
Shenzhen
ports/terminals: They
are operating normally without affected by the snow storm, but it
is just very busy prior to the CNY holidays.
Local
shippers:
Majority of the factories and suppliers can arrange the production as normal
without being impacted.
Train: Due to the
termination of Jungguang line, most passengers have to return the ticket
and stuck at Shenzhen station, upto today, there is around 6,0000
passengers stucked at Shenzhen station and will have to stay in Shenzhen
for CNY holiday.
Highway: As per news, the
Jingzhu highway have hope to be re-opened on Jan.30 by 18:00
under China Government rush to repair a section of this highway linking
Guangdong and Hunan province, this shall mitigate the train
press. Other highway connected shenzhen area is under normal status.
Flight: Shenzhen air port
have cancelled 78 scheduled flight and around 80 scheduled flight was
delayed due to the heavy snow ,according to the report, there is around 1,0000
passengers stuck at Shenzhen Air port. Situation with cargo
flight is the same with flights to/fro Changsa, Hunan, Shanghai, Nanjing,
Hubei, Nanchang being delayed or cancelled.
Guangzhou
-
Guangzhou
ports/terminals: There is port congestion situation but it was
due to heavy shipment volume before CNY long holidays and having nothing to do
with snow storm in the north. ULI GUZ anticipate no delay with ULI's shipments.
Local
shippers:
There is no impact to the local factories as they have planned production
schedule in advance ahead of the CNY, allowing workers to finish production in
time to go back to their home town during CNY holidays. ULI GUZ have not
received any production delay alert from any shippers that they are handling.
Train: The service of
Jingguang line was suspended and there are around 200,000 passengers
stucked at Guangzhou. The government is encouraging passengers to withdraw
and get refund on their train tickets and stay in Guangdong for CNY. The
governement will send these passengers back to the factories/cities where they
stay in Guangdong free of charge.
Road/Highway: Jingzhu
Highway is still closed at northern of Shaoguan where is the
connection of Guangdong and Hunan province. Other highways/roads around
Guangzhou areas are opened and under normal condition.
Flight: As most
airports are closed in eastern and central China, there are many flights
(passenger) delayed or cancelled which cause about 10,000 passengers stucked
at the airport.
Xiamen
and Fuzhou -
All
the traffic movements at Xiamen and Fuzhou is under normal condition and no
adverse effects due to the snow storm in the north is visible.
Situation
in S. China is not as badly affected by the snow storm as the N.&E
China region.
