Dear Valued Unique Customer,

Please see the below e-mail from our Shanghai office with regard to the winter storm in North & Central China along with links for your reference.  Due to cancelling of flights, closing highways, and train delays, there will be delays and back-log of freight for air and ocean cargo.  The ports have already been congested due to push by vendors to ship prior to CNY which will start next week.  ULI-ATL will work closely with our overseas partners on the movements of cargo from affected areas.  Our operations team will advise our customers of any significant delays.  If any questions about your specific shipments, please do not hesitate to contact your Unique Customer Service Representative (CSR).

Thank you for your support of Unique Logistics International.  We appreciate and value your business!

Best Regards

Snow Storm in China

The worst snow storm to hit China in ten years has already and will continue to cause delays.  Many of last weekend’s flights were cancelled or delayed, highways are closed, trains are delayed and port activities may have been hampered by the storm.

The cargo space crunch forecast for this week before the Lunar New Year holiday shutdown will be even more challenging due to the backlogs resulting from the storm.

As some of you have already been pre-advised of the extreme weather conditions in ChinaThe latest weather forecasts also suggest that although the snowstorm has stopped, “more blizzards are forecast in southwestern China until Feb. 6, according to the Chinese Weather Information Service. It warned state agencies and the population to prepare for severe cold and potential problems from heavy snow in the next 10 days.”
