please note that last night the President of the country has declared emergency all over the country & curfew imposed from 11pm to 5am in metropolitan & city areas.the CHIEF ADVISOR OF THE

CARETAKER GOVT.has resigned for the greater interest of the country & also resigned other members of the Advisory council.the new members of the Advisory council will be appointed with in short time .

 

the Army along with other law enforcing bodies are taken all measures to control law & order situation to save the country from imminent violence & clashes btwn political parties and also to create normal

situation to held upcoming election in fair atmosphire.

 

at this situation not possible to forcast in advance what will happen.whole nation in deep constitutional crisis.panic,tension & uncertainity prevailing all over the country.upcoming election which is suppossed to

held on 22nd jan also fall into uncertainity.

 

situation is watching closely & update all if any further new development.

please note that country is falling in worst political situation ever & overall political situation is deteriorating as per latest declaration by the grand opposition

alliance led by AWAMI LEAGUE for next course of action to resist upcoming election scheduled to held on 22 jan,2007 which action programme as follows:

 

14th jan  - non-stop sit-in programme in front of "BANGABHAVAN

(President's official residence)''

14th,15th,17th,18rh jan-non-stop seige programme

21st,22nd jan-country-wide strike if election schedule not differed

from 22nd jan as per previous demand

23rd jan-non-stop country-wide strike

 

in light of above action programme by the grand opposition alliance political expertisers & genaral mass are anticipating serious turmoil & violence situation may arise all

over the country.

 

army & law enforcing agencies are patrolling & keeping close watch on present political situation & to stop picketers from violence & clashes.precautionary measures

are taken against any anti-election activities.

 

discussion with anti-election political parties under grand opposition alliance by the advosory members of the caretaker govt is alive & trying best to convince opposition

parties for participation in upcoming general election on 22nd jan.but no hopeful solution come out so far.  port operation work is running as usual.cargo discharge & loading is

going on with out problem.but may affect port operation if opposition parties are not cancelled their above action programme.
